My lender stopped returning my calls after I dropped his wife as my real estate agent. What can I do?

Our lender stopped returning our calls after we dropped his wife as our real estate agent. We were about to put a bid on a HUD home and he wouldn't return our calls. Is there any action that we can take since he has a lot of private information on us? There must be some sort of government agency to make a complaint.

JoeThomas 		Yes. Call the owner of the mortgage company and ask for your loan to be transferred to a new person. Since they have all your paperwork, the new person can close the loan in a week.

Write a letter to HUD and to the Dept of Banking in your state. Explain the situation. If the owner does not help you, you can complain to the local newspaper and television stations.

peggys 		Why don't you just drop it? Find a new lender? Its his loss...

Or, better yet, go to a new lender to get pre-qualified and while you are there tell her your old lender has your paperwork. Have the new lender call your old lender and request he send her the paperwork.
See if the lender will call while you are in the room. That way you can at least confront him or see if he has anything bad to say about you. It could be hes just not a good lender and doesn't return calls.
