I took vol.retirement in 03from a Govt, u/t, joined '69 had not opted for family pension.Can I get f/pens now.?

Joined in 1969, in Heavy Engg. Corpn. (a Govt of India Enterprise),took vol. retirement in 2003. There was no pension of any kind during that period. Family Pension Introduced later and gave a chance to existing employees for option of family pension, but I did not opt for f/p. Any chance of getting family pension now ?

If the family pension was introduced after your retirement period, you cannot claim for that now and it is over once for all. Had it been implemented while you were in service, you can very well claim. Good luck.
