I am looking at investing in to a new scanner; I have a portable one right now.?

I am trying to decide if I should go with a desktop one... What would you suggestion be? I live in New Brunswick, Canada, where would you suggest I buy the scanner from?

AnandPatwada 		go to radioreference.com and click on database then your area to find out what systems you have there. check the forums for information on the various scanners.
